AERO Conducts Sustainability and Waste Management Session for School Students on World Environment Day
On World Environment Day, Shivcharan Gauns of Arannya Environment Research Organisation (AERO) conducted an interactive session on Sustainability and Waste Management as part of the “Earth & Life: Student Awareness Program on Environment & Biodiversity.”
Organised by Samrat Club Mayem for students of Ideal High School and Mahamaya High School, the programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage responsible practices among young learners. Through interactive discussions and activity-based learning, students were introduced to the importance of sustainability, effective waste management, and biodiversity conservation.
The session marked the first World Environment Day programme conducted by AERO’s Community Engagement and CSR (CEC) division, reflecting the organisation’s continued efforts to engage communities and inspire environmental responsibility through education.
By encouraging students to understand their role in protecting the natural environment, the initiative sought to nurture environmentally conscious individuals committed to building a greener and more sustainable future.
