AERO Facilitates Educational Field Trip to Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary for Zoology Students
Dr. Pronoy Baidya and Jalmesh Karapurkar from Arannya Environment Research Organisation (AERO) accompanied First-Year (FY) Zoology Major and Minor students of C.E.S. Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Margao, on an educational field trip to Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Goa.
The field trip provided students with an opportunity to observe biodiversity, explore wildlife habitats, and gain a deeper understanding of ecological relationships in a natural setting. By engaging directly with the surrounding environment, students could connect theoretical concepts learned in the classroom with real-world ecological observations.
The experience highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation, habitat protection, and biodiversity monitoring in maintaining healthy ecosystems. It also encouraged students to develop observation skills and a greater appreciation for the diversity of life within protected areas.
Through such field-based learning initiatives, AERO continues to support environmental education and experiential learning, helping students strengthen their understanding of biodiversity and develop a lasting connection with nature.
