Jalmesh Karapurkar from Arannya Environment Research Organisation (AERO) conducted an expert field session on Wildlife and Ecotourism for students of SY B.Sc. Zoology Major from Government College, Quepem, at Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Goa.

The session provided students with insights into the importance of wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance. It also explored the role of responsible ecotourism in supporting conservation efforts, promoting environmental education, and creating opportunities for local communities.

Through this field-based learning experience, students gained an opportunity to understand the relationship between wildlife protection, sustainable tourism practices, and community participation. The session emphasised the importance of responsible approaches to visiting natural areas while minimising environmental disturbance and respecting the ecological significance of protected habitats.

By facilitating experiential learning in natural environments, AERO continues to support environmental education and encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of biodiversity conservation and sustainable ecotourism.
