Arannya in association with the Directorate of Art and Culture, organized the Panel discussion titled “Women in Wildlife Conservation and Environment Education: Choice or Chance? “. It was part of our annual series of talks/ outreach which is aimed at youngsters of Goa, and this year we focused on young women who aspire to make a difference in the field of wildlife conservation and environmental education.
Ladies on the panel were:
1. Ms. Puja Mitra: Head of Terra Conscious, a sustainable tourism initiative.
2. Shraddha Rangnekar: Founder of Mrugaya, and have been working with local communities, and Schools in the state.
3. Ms. Coralie Dlima: Head of WWF Goa office.
4. Mrs. Shaila Dsouza: Head of Women Studies Department, Goa University
This gave participants a chance to interact with such young women and learn from their rich and vast experience. The Panel was moderated by Mr. Pronoy Baidya which was full house and discussion was live and exciting for all young girls who participated in the same. We thank all the participants and our panelists for the amazing evening. We also place on record our sincere thanks to the Director of Art and Culture for their generous support and our team for overall help.
