Release of Butterfly Monitoring Survey Report

Hon. MLA and Chairman of GTDC Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar released the interim report of Butterfly Monitoring- Bondla today at Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife National Park Mollem. This is thanks to the collective efforts of several people from Arannya Environment Research Organisation, Goa Forest Department and Dnyanprassarak Mandal's College - Assagao, Goa -M.Sc Environment Science Department. Thanks to suppport from Deputy Conservator of Forests WL and ET- North Shri. Jabestin Arulraj (IFS), Assistant Conservator of Forest and Zoo Manager Bondla Zoological Park Shri. Paresh Porob and Range Forest Officer Shri. Sangam Gawas for all the hard work to make it this far. Jalmesh Karapurkar, Kuldip Topo and Harshada Gauns for coordination. The way forward is long and we hope to create a robust database of butterflies from all the PA’s of Goa in the coming years.
