National Science Day 2025

On National Science Day at the Goa Science Centre, Dr. Pronoy Baidya had the honor of meeting the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, and presenting him with the book “Threatened Birds of Goa.” During this interaction, Dr. Baidya briefed the Chief Minister on the status of 56 threatened bird species in the state and explained the scientific frameworks used to identify their conservation needs. The book, co-authored by Jalmesh Karapurkar and Sujeetkumar Dongre, was published by Arannya Environment Research Organisation and the Goa Forest Department.
