As a part of Arannya Environment Research Organisation's efforts to bring local communities and children closer to our nature, we try to get them engaged by world class educators and researchers. One such initiative was to get 250 students of Vividha Hogher Secondary School, Navelim to interact with Dr. Taej Mundkur, International Waterbird Census Coordinator and Senior Technical Officer at Wetlands International. It was a great day with the importance of locals living near a world important wetland being stressed and astonishment of students and teachers at knowing the implications of living near such a critical habitat.
