AERO Observes World Water Week 2026 Across Five Schools in Goa
Arannya Environment Research Organisation (AERO) observed World Water Week 2026 from 23 to 27 August, engaging students across five schools in Goa: Mahamaya High School, Vijayanand High School, Ideal High School, Poira High School, and Government High School, Shirgao.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation and promote responsible water-use practices among students. Through interactive activities, engaging discussions, and educational sessions, AERO’s team encouraged young learners to understand the significance of water as an essential natural resource and recognise their role in conserving it.
The sessions were facilitated by Ashweta, Samrudhi Phadte, Shradha Pethker, Srujana Naik, and Harshvardhan Naik, along with other members of AERO’s extended team. Their collective efforts helped make water conservation an engaging and meaningful learning experience for students.
By connecting environmental education with interactive learning, the programme encouraged students to reflect on their everyday water-use habits and adopt practices that contribute to the sustainable management of water resources.
Through initiatives such as World Water Week, AERO continues to promote environmental awareness among young people and inspire responsible action towards a sustainable future.
Water is life, and every drop matters.
